Anyone else seeing this carry fad?

Honestly, I'm not with you on this. We have open carry in Indiana so I am not getting the tacky vibe. As long as the trigger is covered people should carry how they want. Personally, if I were going to open carry I would go OWB because it is more comfortable in my opinion.

I was at a gas station the other day and was checking the oil in the Jeep (cause that's what you do) openly carrying the 226 when a shout comes from the street, "OPEN CARRY!". I turn and look and he's giving me a huge thumbs up. :)

I went on a group motorcycle ride a few years back with some friends up in Washington State. We stopped for a break, and another group of riders stop to say hello. 3 of the guys who stopped were open carrying...one guy had his gun in a felt Uncle Mikes holster clipped onto his belt outside his waistband.

Uncle Mikes felt holsters don't have that much retention, so I was surprised it had not wiggled out of the holster as he was shifting in his seat while ridding. I'm not the holster police, so I let it go...but if he was one of my friends, I would have talked to him about it. If that kid ever wrecks with the gun like that, he's going to probably lose that gun.

I use an uncle mikes felt holster....when my gun is on the coffee table, in the safe, or on the seat of my truck.
